Pankaj Tripathi, who was as of late declared as a National Award victor (Special Mention) for his turn as Assistant Commandant Atma Singh in Amit Masurkar's Newton, is presently equipping to play a movie producer in Indrajit Lankesh's Shakeela biopic, which depends on the life of the South Indian porno on-screen character.

The film denotes Pankaj Tripathi's 6th joint effort with Richa Chadha (who expositions the main character) after Gangs of Wasseypur 1 and 2, Fukrey and its spin-off, and Masaan. The on-screen character team is by and by taping Anubhav Sinha's Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai in Lucknow, while at the same time the Shakeela biopic commences in June. The unit will go to Bangalore, Chennai, and parts of Kerala, with a few segments being shot in Mumbai.

"The film does not have the main man but rather a few male characters, who impacted Shakeela's life in Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, and Tamil film ventures, bounce all through the story. Pankaj plays one such character who was a fundamental piece of the on-screen character's adventure yet isn't shabby like a portion of the other men she experienced. Pankaj's chief character is a dear companion of the performing artist, yet they never cooperate. The part did not depend on any one specific individual, however, is enlivened by a few producers," a source told Mirror.
